How to Read Whois Results

There are several ways to read whois results. Using the “-m” flag to ask for more specific results and the “-l” flag to ask for more general results, you can get the information you need. You can also specify query flags to change the default behavior. Here are some examples. In a whois search, you can use the “-m” flag to ask for information about a specific domain name.

To run a whois search on a domain name, you can use the Microsoft whois tool. Go to Start->Run and type “command” or “cmd.” The results will look different, but the key information is the same.
